Welcome
A changing climate requires a changing approach to how we manage our environment, our actions and our organisations.
The South Yorkshire Climate Change Network is a group of local authority officers from Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield who work together to coordinate action on the causes and consequences of climate change. Whilst representing each local authority we also seek to work with Local Strategic Partners, schools and members of the public across South Yorkshire on projects and initiatives supporting action to reduce greenhouse gases and adapt to the consequences and opportunities linked to a changing climate.
On our site you’ll find information on all of the projects that we’ve initiated and managed across South Yorkshire since 2008, what they were about and what the outcomes of each were. There’s also news and information on projects, events and upcoming work in all four of South Yorkshire’s local authority areas along with tools to help you calculate and manage your carbon footprint.
If you have a project, event or news item you’d like us to add free of charge please use the form on our Contact Us page.
